Tin Utensils-Care and Cleaning
Care
Do not use sharp tools or harsh abrasives as they
may scrape off the thin tin plating, exposing the base
metal which then will rust. Do not cook acid foods in
tinware, or let them stand in it.
Cleaning
Wash tinware in warm, sudsy water, rinse, and dry
immediately to prevent rusting. If rusting occurs, use
rottenstone to remove.
Use baking soda and water to hasten removal of baked
on food.
